A Certified Circuit Court Mediator is defined as a neutral third partying acting to facilitate the resolution of a dispute without prescribing what the resolution should be. It is both an informal and non-adversarial process with the objective of helping the parties in dispute reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
In the mediation process, it is not the role of the mediator to make a decision, but rather to facilitate the parties themselves agreeing on finding common ground and agreeing on a resolution to their dispute. The mediator assists the parties in identifying key issues, reducing obstacles to communication, maximizing the exploration of alternatives and healing the parties reach voluntary agreements.
The depth of Mr. Ford's experience in mediation spans a broad gamut of cases. Mediators may be assigned by a Circuit Court Judge or individual attorneys of parties at issue may decide to attempt using a Certified Circuit Court Mediator to facilitate a resolution.
